Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine shop employing just 4 individuals. Total sales for that year totaled 60 thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and other components. Within five years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 employees and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. These days, Cascade is amongst the leading international manufacturers within the material handling business.

Design and manufacturing of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this young company to aggressively pursue new business possibilities. All through the last sixty years, the trade of material handling has developed into a very sophisticated field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its improvement. Cascade currently continues to develop as the premier provider of lift truck accessories and different related items. The business feels certain in their skill so as to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's requirements in the future and remaining competitive within the world market.

Throughout the 1950's, Cascade started to manufacture, design, and sell its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was made in the year 1956, so as to house all plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which remains to be the company's present center of operations. Following fifteen years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty workers and sales had reached almost 2.3 million dollars.

The next production plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry as the business established interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

The company changed its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing plants within the United States with areas in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are manufactured globally because of many subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This plant is designed to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to buying five firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international best in forks.
